Barbara "Barb" Joanne (McNary) Johnson

Barbara “Barb” Johnson, 85, passed away, Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Barb was born in Charleston, Illinois, on April 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Edward and Lois (Abston) McNary. On April 14, 1957, she married Bob Johnson in Kemp, Illinois.  When he passed on April 20, 2007, they had been married 50 years and now they’re together again.  Barb’s children and grandchildren were her greatest joy.  She loved going to their various events that they participated in.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.  She formerly attended New Horizons Church in Hallsville.

Barb is survived by her children, Mike Johnson (Chris) of Centerville, Kansas, Cheryl White (Tom) of Prairie Home, and Terri Adkins (Robert) of Hallsville; Sisters, Janice Endsley of Charleston, Illinois, and Kathy McNary of the state of Maine; Grandchildren, Sandy (Jeremy), Mike, Jr., Bo, Jake (Jacoby), Trinia, Miranda (David), Matt, and Andrew; great grandchildren, Kiersten, Tucker, Tristan, Zander, Taylee, Stetson, Royce, Willie, Loralei, James, and Lucas.

Barb was also preceded in death by a sister, Lily Mae Cuppy.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on July 25, 2023, at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will follow the service at Church of Christ Cemetery, Hallsville.
