Scott DeOrnellis, 53, of Columbia entered his eternal life on June 5, 2017, surrounded by his wife, Marlene and son, Cody and other family members.

Scott was born November 20, 1963 in Mexico, MO, a son of Larry and Jan Durk DeOrnellis.  On July 9, 1988, he married Marlene Scoles in Joplin, MO.  Scott was a member of Rock Bridge Church of God where he enjoyed playing his trumpet and assisting in arranging instrumental music.  Scott was employed as an auto mechanic and tow truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene DeOrnellis of the home, his son, Cody Lee DeOrnellis,  his mother, Jan DeOrnellis of Columbia; three brothers, Shawn DeOrnellis of Seattle; Steven “DeWayne” DeOrnellis of St. Louis and David DeOrnellis of New Freedom, PA.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry on November 15, 2016. 

Funeral services honoring Scott’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Rock Bridge Church of God with Pastor Rodney Davis officiating.  Private family interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, Friday, June 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
