Patricia Jane Hale
1951 – 2019
Patricia Jane Hale, 67, of Armstrong, passed away at her home August 20, 2019.
Patricia was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois on December 10, 1951 a daughter of the late Jack and Shirley Jane Daniels Walker. He mother passed away when Patricia was twelve years old. She married Billy Swaringam, Sr. in 1971. He preceded her in death in 2016.
Patricia was employed as a bank teller and was the owner of 19th Street Café in Granite City, Illinois for many years. She loved cooking and baking and was known for “Pat’s Pies.” She was generous to others feeding homeless people. Pat was good hearted and enjoyed music, flea markets, fishing, sewing and making clothing for her children. She was an expert dart player and delivered cars for an auto auction. She especially enjoyed attending Faith Family in Fayette.
Survivors include three daughters, Christina Doyle and husband, Frankie of Armstrong where Pat had made her home, Sheila Huggins and Jackie Marlor and husband, Dan; a son, Billy Swaringam, Jr. and wife, Ronda; two brothers, Bill Walker and Charlie Walker and wife, Sherry and a sister, Kathy Sartin and husband, Randy. Also surviving are several grandchildren including, Trinity Marlor, James Marlor, Adrian Swaringam, Dustin Hale, Chrissy Doyle, and Patrick Doyle.. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerrad Basset.
Pat is being cremated according to her wishes and the family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Doyle Family to help offset Patricia’s final expenses. These may be made payable to Christina Doyle at Tri County Trust Bank in Glasgow.
