Olan Richard McGee

Olan McGee, 89, of Columbia, went home to be with the Lord October 9, 2018.

Funeral Services will be Monday, October 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time for the service. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Olan was born August 30, 1929 in Warrenton to Robert and Sophia Tubbising McGee and they preceded him in death.  On September 27, 1947 he married Betty J. Henry and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2013.  He was a member of Northwood Baptist Church. Olan was employed with Stephens College as Building Supervisor for a number of years and then retired from Columbia Public Schools as Safety Coordinator.

Survivors include five sons, Steve, Dan, Duane, Kenneth, and Mark (Lisa); 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mildred Hall.

He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two siblings, Wilbur McGee and Opal Jones.
