Ed McKee

1958-2017

James Edward “Ed” McKee, age 58, of New Franklin passed away April 14, 2017 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Ed was born in Cabool, MO on June 23, 1958 a son of Charles Ival and Geraldine Faye Brown McKee.  In 1987, he married Connie Lynn in Boonesboro, MO.  She survives at their home.

Mr. McKee was formerly employed with Hostess Bakery in Boonville as a truck driver.  He was currently employed with DHL Supply Chain in Columbia as a fork lift operator.  He loved spending time with his friends, especially his two best friends of over fifty years, Bob Houchins and Bob Dudley.  Ed loved riding his motorcycle and shooting at the gun club. 

In addition to his wife, Connie, survivors include his father, Charles McKee; two sons, Robert McKee and wife, Rhiannon and Mark McKee; two daughters, Jennifer McKee and husband, Matthew Brunholtz and Katherine Arnone and husband, Joshua; two grandchildren, Layla McKee and Sophie Arnone; a sister, Julie Eaker and husband, David and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lynn and Vennise Terrell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine McKee.

Services celebrating Ed’s life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Visitation will be the hour prior to the service.
