Donald Lee “Donnie” Thomas, 73, of Kansas City, MO, passed away October 26, 2017 at his home.

Donnie was born in Boonesboro, MO on December 4, 1943, a son of Marion Eugene and Nora Estelle Watts Thomas.  Prior to retirement, Mr. Thomas had been employed with Ford Motor Company, Clay County Highway Department and Penske Trucking delivering bulk copies of The Kansas City Star.  One of his favorite pastimes was fishing.

Survivors include his son, Troy Thomas of Kansas City; brothers, Ronald Dean Thomas and wife, Rita of Weston, MO and Jack Thomas and wife, Patricia of Boonvile, MO; sister, Joyce Earles and husband, Paul of Liberty, MO; grandchildren, Jacob and Shelby Thomas; aunt, Dorothy Jean Clements of Boonville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gene Thomas and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Boonesboro Christian Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will follow service at Boonesboro Cemetery.
