Anna Ruth Turner, 77, of Columbia passed away on June 1, 2017.

   Family will receive family and friends on Saturday, June 3, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel.  A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Chapel.  Burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery.

   Anna was born May 17, 1940, in Keytesville to Monroe and Rosetta Bruce Smith and they preceded her in death.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  Anna was employed with the University of Missouri for 25 years.  

   Survivors include two sons, Greg Turner (Angelia) of Columbia, Tim Turner (Ursula) of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Gladys Turner of Columbia; three brothers, Monroe Smith, Jr. of Moberly, Virgil Smith (Marian) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Bill Smith (Terri) of Moberly; two sisters, Catherine Hall of Laclede, Virginia Sue Martin of Cleveland, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Shana, Taron, Kendra, Chris, Quinten, Evan, Olivia, Fallon, Tianna, Timothy, Taylor and five great grandchildren, Nicole, Alasia, Jay’len, Julian, Mya.                            

   Anna was also preceded in death by three sisters, Velma Richardson, Dorothy Jones, Mary Evelyn Smith; one brother, Howard Smith and a grandson, Cedric Brandt.
