Ronald “J.R.” Humphrey, Jr.

1970 – 2017

Ronald Glenn Humphrey, Jr., of Boonville, known as J.R. by his friends and family, passed away September 20, 2017 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics.  He was 47 years old.

J.R. was born in Boonville on July 17, 1970, a son to Ronald Humphrey, Sr. and Teresa Lynn Triplett Humphrey.  He was employed since age 16 with J. Louis Crum Construction in Columbia where he was currently a master plumber and pipefitter.  J.R. was loved by his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Teresa Humphrey of New Franklin; his fiancée, MaryBeth Sokolski of Boonville; two sons, Owen Sokoloski and Aiden Scott Humphrey both of Boonville; three daughters, Caitlyn Humphrey, Suzanne Coyle and Alyssa Thurman all of Boonville; a sister, Glenda Lynn Pape and husband, Kevin of Boonville; a grandson, Cameron Coyle of Boonville and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humphrey Children’s College Fund payable to Ronald Humphrey, Sr.
