Renee Blasingame, 80, of Columbia went to be with Jesus on July 10, 2017.  Visitation will be held at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel on July 14th, 2017 from 6 – 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 9 am on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at Bach-Yager Chapel.  Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery.

 Renee was born in Lubbock, Texas to Buner and Mary Garner on October 22, 1936.

On April 18, 1958, Renee married Everet Karel with whom she had 2 daughters, Desiree and Angela. Following Everet’s passing Renee was blessed to eventually marry Dorian Blasingame with whom she had 2 sons, Scott and Richard.

 In her earlier years, Renee worked in the fashion industry where her love for clothes, shoes and jewelry began. She maintained an amazing sense of fashion throughout her lifetime. She also loved puzzles, gardening, reading the Bible and playing with her dog Penny.  She loved spending time with family and above all loved to serve the Lord.

 Renee has now joyfully joined her late husband Everet and her son Richard in the presence of the Lord. Renee is survived by her sister Evelyn Larson of California; daughters Desiree Harmon and Angela Hanley; son Scott Blasingame; Twelve Grandchildren: Paul, Aimee, Ryan, Lauren, Blake, Hope, Faith, Grant, Anita, Candice, Michael, and David; Fifteen Great Grandchildren: Kendall, Hailey, Madeline, Courtney, Chloe, Isaac, Ava, Josh, Shane, Dakota, Dalton, Kaleb, Kelsey, Ambur, and Michelle ; and four Great-Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Caleb, Emilie, and Sofia.
