Lawrence Dale Gilpin, of Franklin, passed away at his home on February 19, 2017. He was 55 years old.
He was born in Columbia, MO on February 1, 1962 a son of Harold Morris Gilpin and Ada Louise Hill Gilpin.
Dale had been employed with Boone Ready Mix and Ryder Transportation. He enjoyed flying and received his pilot’s license.
Survivors include a son, Quinton Lawrence Gilpin of Wooldridge; his mother, Ada Rains and step-father David Rains of Franklin; a brother, Ted Garrett; two sisters, Ronda Kay Spooner and Norma Rachelle Kifer; a niece Chelsi Spooner and three nephews, Kevin Spooner, Gregory Gilpin and Christopher Kifer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Gilpin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 24, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Markland-Yager Funeral Home.
