Grover “Sonny” Griffitt, 80, of Harrisburg passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018.

   A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 19, 2018 at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel with a visitation from 10:00 am until time for the service.

   Grover was born on August 27, 1937 in Saline County to Grover and Kathern Griffitt and they preceded him in death.  On February 21, 1956, he married Patricia Neal in Marshall and she survives.  Sonny loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   Grover is also survived by a son, Richard Griffitt (Jennifer) of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Shelia Griffitt of Harrisburg; a brother, Paul Griffitt (Marilyn) or Warsaw, three sisters, Anna, Betty, Maxine; two grandchildren, Amanda Olesen and Jeremiah Griffitt and four great grandchildren, Zane, Zachary, Zerze and Sylas.

   He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary, on February 25, 2017; four brothers, Lawrence, Ralph, Lewis and Chester; three sisters, Margarette, Faye and Francis.
