Donald Wayne Hoover, 78, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.    

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Praise Assembly of God Church.  Visitation will be from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the church. 

Don was born June 3, 1939, to Cecil and Mamie Knighten Hoover in Martinsburg, West Virginia and they preceded him in death.  He served in the U. S. Army prior to marrying Mary Ward on June 30, 1966, in Rockville, Maryland and she survives.  Don was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church where he served as a Board Member.  He was employed with J. D. Kelly Excavating for over 20 years.

He is also survived by a brother, James Hoover of the state of Maryland and a granddaughter, McKenzy.  

He was also preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wayne Hoover and a brother, John Hoover.
