Darell Grigsby

1934 – 2018

Darell Grigsby, 83, of Fayette, passed away April 13, 2018 at the Fayette Caring Center.

Mr. Grigsby was born in Boone County, MO on October 13, 1934, a son of John Dudley and Brooksie Lee Powell Grigsby who preceded him in death.  Prior to retirement Darell was employed with the Howard County Road District and the City of Fayette.  He was a graduate of Armstrong High School.  Darell enjoyed boating and watching NASCAR, movies and sports on television.  He was an avid benchrest shooter and reloader and enjoyed his daily two mile walks around Fayette.

Survivors include several cousins, neighbors and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Fayette City Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette Senior Center or Hometown Homecare in Fayette.
